Equine Surgery

We have the facilities and technical expertise to offer first class care for all small animals and equine.

Our surgery complex also has 4 inside stables, full in-house pathology and laboratory, reproduction laboratory, separate x-ray processing and viewing area, undercover 
wash bay, 2 offices and amenities.

Within the floor of the surgery complex we have built a "working pit".  This allows us to safely and accurately diagnose and treat lower leg injuries ie: tendon scanning, surgery and treatment.

Our recently completed equine surgery allows most surgeries to be performed on site.  No longer will distressed and critically ill horses or foals have to travel the distance to Werribee. 

We have a fully equipped state of the art surgery with padded knockdown / recovery room with overhead viewing area.

Two heated intensive care foal boxes are adjoined by large stable from which the mare can have access to her foal through an accesss window. 

This minimises stress on the foal and the mother and allows our vets to treat the foal without the mare interferring with drip lines.   The foal remains warm in the heated box at all times.
