Arthroscopy
Keyhole joint surgery used both for diagnosis of injuries and to repair damage to ligaments and joints.

Artificial Insemination
Fresh, chilled or frozen semen is used to impregnate horses, dogs and cattle.

Breeding
We have facilities for dealing with routine and problem breeders in most species.

Breaking In & Pre Training (Equine)
Justin Sterley takes horsemanship  solutions to the next level. Specialising in all breeds of horses.

Consultations & Vaccinations
Animals arriving at the clinic have a thorough physical examination whether they are sick or just having a routine vaccination. If a problem does exist and treatment cannot be dispensed on presenting signs alone, further diagnostics can be done in-house.

Dentistry
A full range of dental equipment including an ultrasonic scaler for the dental care of your pet is available at the clinic.

ECG
The electrical activity of the heart is measured to record any disturbances in rhythm.

Embryo Transfer - Equine
This is a technique where 5 - 8 day old fertilised embryos are collected from one mare (donor mare) and transferred to another mare (recipient).

Endoscopy
A flexible endoscope allows us to actually visualise problems such as growths or foreign bodies within the respiratory or gastrointestinal tracts.

Equine Cell Therapy
This innovative new therapy means your horse's bowed tendon is no longer a career ending inury. This therapy utilises a unique method of tendon cell transplantation to aid in the repair and regeneration of the damaged, diseased or torn tendons or ligaments.

Equine Surgery
A fully equipped state of the art surgery with padded knockdown/recovery room and indoor stables.

Weigh out your horse's daily feed and have it analysed for it's nutritional adequacy and trace elements.

Intensive Care Foal Boxes
Two heated and padded neonatal intensive care boxes. These allow us to treat and monitor sick foals whilst enabling the mare to view and touch her foal and not become stressed.

Hospital/Boarding
Recovery is an important part of any surgical procedure and we make sure your pet will be warm and comfortable. Some medical conditions require your animal to be hospitalised for treatment. This may involve intravenous fluid therapy. In the event that extra attention is required a vet lives on the premises to check on your pet throughout the night.

Microchipping
Small animals and horses.

Pathology - In House
State of the art Idexx pathology system allows for quick turn around time for results, plus on going monitoring of hospitalised patients.

Puppy School
Weekly puppy classes from 8 weeks of age.

Radiology
X-rays are a valuable part of determining problems involving bones as well as providing 
useful information about the organs of the chest and abdomen.

Semen Collection & Freezing (Equine and Canine)
This allows us to either artificially inseminate females immediately or to chill or freeze the semen for transport to other locations.

Shock Wave Therapy

Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy (ESWT) is a relatively new form of treatment, which is quickly gaining importance in the treatment of horses suffering from musculoskeletal disorders.

Surgery & Desexing
Desexing and routine surgery.
Full orthopedic and soft tissue surgery for both small animals and horses.  Our new equine surgery will allow most surgery to be done on site.

Tendon Rehabilitation Program
An essential part of recovery after tendon repair.  An individual and easy to follow program to aid in achieving the best possible outcome.

Ultrasound
Ultrasound is often used to complement information gained on radiology - for the diagnosis of pregnancy and other medical conditions

Yearling X-rays
Required for thoroughbred yearling sales. Approx 34 x-ray plates are taken of each yearling prior to going to the sales. The x-rays are labelled and presented to meet the required protocols.
